I. Target of Application

• Performance Activity Grants
  • Financial assistance for concerts and other events in Japan that introduce the Badi caste of Nepal.
  • Funding for activities introducing traditional Badi dances and music of Nepal.
  • Financial support for concerts aimed at deepening understanding of the Nepalese Badi caste.
• Lecture Grants
  • Financial assistance for symposiums and seminars that consider a wide range of information related to the Nepalese Badi caste, including economics, lifestyle, and caste discrimination, and spread understanding.
  • Funding for symposiums and seminars aimed at deepening the understanding of coexistence between Nepalese living in Japan and Japanese nationals in local Japanese communities.
• Research Grants

  Financial support for research activities on the lifestyle of the Badi in Kathmandu and western Nepal.

• Badi Caste Support Activities
  • Financial assistance for raising children of the impoverished Badi.
  • Funding for vocational training activities to promote economic independence of Badi women.

II. Application Period

For projects implemented from May 1, 2024, to April 31, 2025.

III. Regarding Grants

• In all cases, please attach a recommendation letter from a third party (Note).
• The grant amount will be approximately 50,000 to 1,000,000 yen per case (determined based on scale and content of the event).
• For high-cost, long-term grants, a progress report may be required.
• Grants will not be provided for projects that do not align with the foundation's objectives or where the use of funds is not clear.
• A person in a suitable position to write a recommendation letter, who is not a performer or staff involved in the applicant's activity.
